On Tour with IDK: A Seamless Blend of Music and Mentalism
Every now and then, an opportunity comes along that perfectly blends my world of mentalism with another artist’s vision. One of those moments was touring with Jason Mills, better known by his rap name, IDK, on his Imaginary Tour.
I first met IDK years ago at a sneaker event, performing magic for him and the crowd that gathered around. We connected instantly, and since then I’ve had the privilege of working on many of his events. Over time, that connection grew into a collaboration that brought me onto his national tour, where my performance became part of his set.
Unlike a traditional opening act, my role was woven directly into the show. The transition from my mentalism to his music was seamless: an intentional flow that set the stage for what came next. We traveled city to city: Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington DC, Brooklyn, Atlanta and shared this creative fusion with audiences across the country.
What stood out most was not just the energy of the crowds, but the vision behind the tour. IDK is a truly creative individual with a remarkable ability to bring ideas to life. Working alongside him and his team gave me a deep appreciation for the power of collaboration. It demonstrated how different art forms, when combined, can elevate a live experience into something unforgettable.
The Imaginary Tour was more than a series of shows; it was a celebration of creativity, connection, and the limitless ways performance can evolve. Being a part of it reminded me why I love what I do, a testament to how magic and mentalism can complement even the most unexpected stages.
